SCOPE OF WORK
Terrazzo was used as the primary flooring material. The most preferred features were its high customisability and the fact that 70% of the raw materials were derived from a quarry waste. The marble pieces were laid in pattern along with terrazzo to bring about a rich, muted and luxurious floor.

The site was provided once the grade was laid. The base screed had to be laid at an average of 100mm. The shade of the terrazzo, aggregate dispersion had to be completely customised to the architects specifications. The installation of marble had to be carried out with absolute care. The finish selected was satin-matte finish.


PROCESS
- Laying of the screed on the sub base at average thickness of 100mm
- Cutting joints into the floor at strategic points and filling them appropriately
- Creating designer isolations to ensure the structural stress is not transferred on to the cementitious terrazzo floor
- Installation of the marble blocks
- Laying of the terrazzo floor
- Polishing with Italian planetary floor grinders to a matte finish
-Applying a sealer that provides long lasting floor protection


OUTCOME
Absolutely stunning floor laid with subtle beige terrazzo that is accentuated by bold patterned marble slabs. The floor creates a feeling of luxurious warmth. Every material used on the floor right from the terrazzo, marble and brass details all tie up beautifully. The high levels of skills, and sophisticated materials science brings out a floor that is both beautiful and highly durable . Perfect for residential use. There are no cracks visible on these floors.
