SCOPE OF WORK
The design brief was to bring out the incompleteness of the form finish in concrete. The flooring selected was raw micro concrete floor coating. This project had to be executed on a tight schedule and delivered flawlessly. The existing tiled floor had to be ground and levelled. Micro cement coating had to be applied on the top to give very rustic and raw finish.
PROCESS
- The floor had existing vitrified tiles on it and there were carpet laid on it before
- We ground the floor with heavy duty floor grinders.
- Addressed all weak spots or any broken tiles with repair motar
- Reinforced the floor with a mesh and applied the micro concrete coating
- A total of 5 steps in the application of micro concrete coatings was followed
- 3 steps PU sealer system was applied to give a long lasting and high abrasion resistant protection
OUTCOME
The project was completed from start to end in 8 days. A total floor span of 1750 sq.ft was laid with no joints. The walls were also finished with the same micro concrete coating to give a seamless transition of the surface.
