SCOPE OF WORK
We were tasked to convert the terrace floor of an independent house into a beautiful and functional C suite flooring. This included laying of in-situ Terrazzo with minimal to zero cracks. The metal C-sections elements had to be highlighted as the inspiration for the inlay on the floor and the floor needed to be extremely aesthetic as well as durable.
PROCESS
- Laying of the screed on the sub base
- Creating creative isolations to ensure the structural stress is not transferred on the cementitious terrazzo floor
- Laying of the terrazzo floor
- Polishing with Italian planetary floor grinders
- Application of protective sealer that provides long lasting floor protection.
OUTCOME
Beautiful seamless terrazzo laid to perfection. The installation of the darkened glass creates soothing simple lines that adds a visual depth. The finishing process gives a smooth, matte finish that is beautiful, easy to maintain and durable.
